Venue:         All Hallows School, Cranmore Hall, East Cranmore, Shepton Mallet BA4 4SF

 

Date:            Sunday 26th  November 2023

 

Entry Fee:     £12.00 Cheques payable to Somerset Junior Chess  (£2 extra on the day)

 

Time:            10.00am – 5.00pm      [U8s   10.00am – 3.00pm]

U7s. U8s can play on in the afternoon with the U9s if they wish

 

 

Tournament:           This will be a “Swiss Tournament”. All players play in all the rounds, no-one gets knocked out. Players of all abilities welcome, but children should be capable of playing a full day’s chess. There will be separate age prizes for the best U12, U11, U10, U9, U8 and U7 provided sufficient numbers participate in each group. Clocks will be used on all boards. All moves to be played in 30 minutes for each player.    

                    

Age Groups:  Groups are determined by the child’s age as at midnight 31.08.2023.

Y7 = U12, Y6 = U11, Y5 = U10. Y4 = U9, Y3 = U8, Y2 = U7

 

Lunch:          Please bring a good-sized packed lunch. Drinks and snacks will not be on sale.
